12/1/2023 - I (Brady) was honored by my school (NSM) with the “Outstanding Junior Faculty Award”. Of course I’m happy to be recognized and much respect to the other nominees, however, the credit solely goes to my undergrads, grads, and postdocs who do the hard, consistent, and diligent work in lab. We had a couple of beers and fried food at the Pio on Friday which immediately hurt my belly, haha! Old gray mare ain’t what she used to be.

10/5/2023 - Probably one of the last molecules I’ll (Brady) make solo (for a while at least) - 3,4,3-LI(1,2-HOPO) - was used in a recent report by the absolute G.O.A.T.s Gareth and Sandy Eaton and Joe Cortuvo from Penn State (link). It must be stated that I just made the lanthanide ligand and did nothing else, but am still very proud to be published alongside my mentors and friends, the Eatons.

9/18/2023 - Forgot to post that the SHINE@DU high school internship program was highlighted in a recent article from DU (link).

9/5/2023 - Welcome to our second postdoctoral scholar Mckenna Hanson! Wow, things are filling up fast. Look forward to having you work on some CO releasing polymers and getting that monkey off my back by finally publishing on that work… no pressure!

8/26/2023 - Summer is over. Brian D is gone (thanks for slumming with us this summer!), our new grads are starting work (welcome Jeff and [welcome back] Cole), new postdoc starts next week. Busy yet exciting times!

7/16/2023 - Forgot to say, our first paper was accepted and published in JACs. https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jacs.3c03811 Big congrats to the whole team!

6/10/2023 - Our first postdoc (Ram Ambre) is joining us from Case Western Reserve University. Look forward to having you join our group Ram!

4/12/2023 - A preprint of our first paper is (finally) posted! 10.26434/chemrxiv-2023-tq12l Many congrats to Nick and Meredith, who led this work. My totally unbiased opinion on the paper is that it is great!

11/20/2022 - Riya Joshi (G1) and Lisa Dar (UG3) have joined the Worrell group and will be working on CO releasable polymers and some wacky plate reader techniques, respectively. Happy 21st birthday Lisa!

11/18/2022 - Mandatory fun alert. The lab went to Ester’s OG in Virginia Village for Friday pizza. Pretty good pies… one bite everyone knows the rules. 7.2/10. Meredith gave a non-cheese pie a 9.0/10. Rookie score.
